DIY, new quality hardware outlet |10 December 2014
Customers, may it be individuals or businesses, have now a new outlet where they can buy quality products.
This comes with the opening last Saturday of DIY Seychelles, a new hardware store located within the Financial Services Authority (FSA) zone (former Siba zone) on Bois de Rose Avenue.
If DIY stands for ‘Do it yourself’, rest assured that the shop does not sell only tools and basic material for odd jobs and basic domestic maintenance. You can find practically everything one should get from a hardware store.
The large 1200m² fully air-conditioned store offers up to 12,000 product references from the most reputable brands such as Philips lighting and bulbs, Wurth and Bosch power tools, screws and bolts, Wilmorin and Gardena garden tools, Allibert garden furniture, Intex accessories for pools and water sport, Smoby toys and many other items and famous brands.
It surely offers solutions for a variety of project needs ranging from large construction projects, site clearing, rock hammering and home renovations, to adding finishing touches to your home or business.
The shop also sells electronic cars and its directors have promised to be in the near future the major supplier of those vehicles in Seychelles
The store was officially opened by Vice-President Danny Faure in the presence of Designated Minister Vincent Meriton who is also the Minister for Social Affairs, Community Development and Sports, members of the diplomatic corps, directors of DIY Seychelles Alfred Fourcroy, Alan Mason and Philippe De Baets and a large number of invitees.
Mr De Baets has explained that the aim of DIY Seychelles is to offer its customers a one-stop hardware shop providing a high level of quality and after sales service. He has added that the business will provide services to the Seychelles business community, help new entrepreneurs develop their own enterprise and also reply to individual needs with reliable and long lasting equipment.
“We have gone to great lengths to ensure that both international brands and products available are not only recognisable but are more importantly renowned for quality and reliability. DIY Seychelles is looking forward to welcoming professionals in the building and construction industry and all individuals who enjoy ‘Do It Yourself’ at home. We will also offer employment and training opportunities to Seychellois. As Belgian nationals we also wish to develop the relationship between Belgium and Seychelles as promoted by the newly accredited Belgian ambassador,” he has said.
The DIY Store is opened Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and from 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
