2015 Commonwealth Youth Games - Bonne clinches bronze for Seychelles |10 September 2015

Boxer Lorenzo Bonne has won Seychelles its first ever medal – a bronze – at

the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa.

Bonne lost his 69kg category semifinal fight yesterday to finish the competition with a bronze medal for Seychelles.

After defeating Cayman Islands’ Hopkin Ebanks on Tuesday in the quarterfinals, Bonne met England’s Mohammed Harris Akbar in the semifinal where he lost by technical knockout in the third round of the contest.

Meanwhile, Dean Hoffman failed to qualify for the 50m backstroke final yesterday as he finished eighth in the heat with a performance of 35.56 seconds.

As for Felicity Passon, she managed an eighth place finish in the 100 butterfly final with a performance of 1:01.90.
