Volleyball: Four teams to represent Seychelles at IOCC |17 October 2015

The 2015 Indian Ocean Club Championship (IOCC) for volleyball is expected to take place in Madagascar where the season’s league winners and runners-up are expected to represent Seychelles.

The four teams – two male and two females – are yet to confirm if they will take part in the tournament but will have to do so in order to travel to Madagascar.

According to a member of the Seychelles Volleyball Federation only the women’s and men’s league champions will receive financial help from the National Sports Council (NSC), while the two runners-up will have to look for sponsorship in order to compete in the competition slated for November 14-21.

Having already clinched the Space 95 men’s division one title, Beau Vallon are one of the teams expected to take part in the competition along with runners-up Premium Spikers. Incidentally, the two teams will meet today in their final league match of the season.

As for the women, three teams are still in the race for the Space 95 women’s division one title. They are defending IOCC champions Arsu who lead the standings and have not dropped a set all season long, Cascade who are in second place and third-placed Friends.
