New grand oceanview pool villas and presidential villa at Hilton Northolme resort and spa |07 December 2015
Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa celebrated the opening of its 15 new Grand Oceanview Pool Villas and the Two Bedroom Presidential Pool Villa.
Nestled among the hills and coves of Beau Vallon bay on Mahé island, this enchanting boutique resort was once a favourite haunt of James Bond creator Ian Fleming.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday in the magnificent Presidential villa with a Bond-themed poolside reception while hosting Hilton Worldwide Area president for Europe, Middle East & Africa, Simon Vincent and the President of Operations Middle East & Africa, Rudi Jagersbacher.
Also present were the owners of Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa, Lars Petre, along with the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange, PS Anne Lafortune, British high commissioner Caron Röhsler, as well as travel trade partners and distinguished guests.
After the inaugural ribbon-cutting took place to officially open the new villas, guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés in the presidential villa overlooking the stunning Beau Vallon bay.
To add in an unexpected element, the resort surprised guests with a fly past from a helicopter carrying a Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa banner, marking the end of the event.
Minister St Ange congratulated the owners and directors of the resort for putting their money and trust in Seychelles and also for the new infrastructures.
“I need to congratulate you for what you’ve built on this difficult terrain but with a local architect you’ve been able to maximise the spot and also put in an establishment that blends in so well with the Seychelles environment,” he said.
Mr Petre said: “It is my honour to be the owner of this outstanding resort, with its rich history and heritage which is further enhanced by our management partner Hilton Worldwide. From the design, location, unparalleled views and ambience I am sure that these new villas will deliver one of the best pool villa experiences in the Indian Ocean.”
