UAE Exchange moves to Al Nahyan Complex |05 March 2016

UAE Exchange, one of the leading global foreign exchange and payment solutions, opened its new outlet yesterday morning at the Al Nahyan Complex on Francis Rachel Street.

The opening ceremony took place in the presence of the chief executive of UAE Exchange, Promoth Manghat; the first deputy governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles Christophe Edmond; the managing director of Airtel Seychelles Amadou Dina; the chief executive of Cable & Wireless Charles Hammond, among other guests.

Founded in 1980, the UAE Exchange has today grown into one of the leading global remittances, foreign exchange and payment solutions brands in the world.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the brand has spread its footprint across 31 countries in five continents with close to 800 branches.

The brand has a dominant presence in the UAE, with close to 150 branches spread across the seven Emirates and 16 branches in the Dubai metro stations.

Mr Edmond said UAE Exchange has been in Seychelles since 2001 and since then it has built a very large customer base, made up of clients that enjoy the efficiency and quality with which it delivers services in both exchange and remittances.

“The role of bureaux de change such as UAE Exchange in ensuring that exchange and remittances are carried out efficiently and effectively cannot be overlooked. These are essential services for all members of society,” Mr Edmond said.

He pointed out that UAE Exchange holds a secured correspondent banking relationships with over 140 banks globally.

Mr Manghat added that UAE Exchange has been serving Seychelles for the last five years.

“We want to open a few branches as we progress. We are operating in 31 countries, and we specialise in money transfers, instant bank transfers and foreign currency exchange. We have always focused on improving customer experience and bringing added value to our customers,” he said.

“This new branch will allow you to take care of all your needs in one area. The aim is to provide customers with the best service and value,” he added.
