Ste Anne Beachcomber hosts Miss Seychelles 2016 photoshoot |16 April 2016
The 12 contestants taking part in this year's Miss Seychelles Beauty Pageant were hosted by the Ste Anne Beachcomber Resort last weekend to a vigorous day of photography and videography filming ahead of the pageant which will take place on Saturday May 28, 2016.
The Artistic and Production team made up of hairdressers, beauticians and the event organisers, together with the videography and photography teams led by professional Seychellois photographer Michel Toule, spent long hours photographing and videographing the contestants. These will be required for the different selected categories of judging and in choosing the top winner.
STB’s chief executive, Sherin Naiken, said: “The hospitality together with the logistics and support services given by the Ste Anne Beachcomber Resort were outstanding and much more than we expected. For the contestants it was an experience of their lifetime and they have posted positive comments and selfies of their photoshoot and video filming on the island on their Facebook pages. The high quality of the end product is exceptional and this is mainly due to the support given by Ste Anne Beachcomber Resort.
Ms Naiken added that last Sunday was a great success relation to the production of preparations of any Miss Seychelles pageant stating that photography and videography teams managed to complete four productions as follows:
• Portrait photos of the contestants for the Miss People's Choice online voting by the public and these were taken in the gardens of the resort. This online voting category will be launched today (see separate article).
• Professional close ups of the contestants for fashion modelling portfolios and which will be used for the Miss Photogenic judging by the panel of the jury on pre-judging night and these were taken at the Spa.
• The introduction video of each contestant to be screened on the night of the pageant and this was conducted in the pool at the Spa.
• Insert video fillers of the contestants to blend into the Journey of the Miss Seychelles contestants video to be screened on the night of the pageant. Filming focussed on the girls in the pool, on the beach, sipping colourful mocktails and enjoying the beauty and glamour of Ste Anne Beachcomber Resort.
Videos shots also included the contestants arriving and departing on Ste Anne both being welcomed and seen off by the resort's management were filmed and will form part of the Journey of the Miss Seychelles contestants video to be screened on the night of the pageant. This video will feature all the grooming and training sessions the contestants have undergone as part of preparations for the pageant.
STB has welcomed the support and partnership of the Ste Anne Beachcomber Resort and has described this as a leading example of a private sector partnership and has called on other tourism establishments and the business community to come on board as partners and sponsors.
