Through the mists of history … Order of the Golden Ark |15 September 2016

Lest we forget … in 1982 Seychelles was awarded the Order of the Golden Ark of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (1911-2004), for outstanding conservation work and nature protection projects. Prince Bernhard flew to Seychelles especially to present the medal to President France Albert Rene personally. That same year, on November 19, 1982, Aldabra was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
