Chess - Stratonowitsch continues to dominate, Adeline female winner |22 December 2016

 

 

Andre Stratonowitsch is a name that has been dominating chess headlines this year and once more he was on top last weekend, winning the National Chess Championship.

It was the Seychelles Chess Federation that organised the National Chess Championship last Saturday at the St Louis district administration where a total of 26 players took part in the seven-round robin tournament.

While Stratonowitsch won for the male, Lisa Adeline was victorious for the females.

Adeline finished the tournament with 4 points, the same total as second placed Jessee Eulentin. Dania Dupres was third with 3.5 points.

As for Stratonowitsch, he finished the tournament with 7 points, one more than Benjamin Hoareau who finished in second place, while Akash Chetty was third on 5 points.

The Seychelles Chess Federation also announced the chess player of the year and for the male, the title went to Benjamin Hoareau, while the female player of the year is Elza Hoareau.
