Cycling - Lucas Georges elected to UCI management committee |20 March 2017

Lucas Georges has been elected a member of the Union Cycliste International (UCI) management committee along with Moroccan Mohammed Benelmahi.

This was during the African Cycling Confederation (Cac) congress.

The Cac legal commission and approved scrutineers by the congress conducted the election process in what was seen as a fair and transparent manner.

The committee of scrutineers included Mohammed Sanhoon of Ghana (head of Cac legal commission), Thierry Rwabusaza of Rwanda (member of Cac legal commission), Amina Lanaya of France (UCI deputy general manager), Alec Lenferna of South Africa (member of scrutineers) and Noha Soliman of Egypt (Cac staff).
