‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ show |01 April 2017
Registration opens
Once again, let us all get ready for the amazing children show ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ which is set to take place on August 19 and 20, 2017. Registration forms are now available at the National Arts Council and at Ray’s music room.
“The event this year will be a very special one as we will be orchestrating our 15th ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. I am excited to do this special event and for sure the public will be surprised,” said Bennet Accouche, the creator and artistic director of the show.
He also told this newspaper that parents have been contacting him since December of last year. “Many have already filled in their audition forms. As usual we are looking for kids aged between 4 and 9 years old who must be outspoken, have a good voice and also be enthusiastic and willing to perform in public. The audition is very short and simple. I can be contacted on 2728984 for queries,” explained Mr Accouche.
Usually children are selected after having successfully passed an audition. Well over one hundred children are auditioned for each show but only 15 are usually selected. This year we do not know how many children will be selected as Mr Accouche wants to keep it as a surprise.
The annual children’s talent show was first staged in November 2000 and is still growing strong. Each show is based on a theme with a lavish décor to depict that particular theme.
“‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ is not a competition and each performer is a winner. This experience remains with the participants forever,” pointed out Mr Accouche.
