Pestea brings environmental fight against termites to Seychelles |08 May 2017

One of the leading pest control and hygiene services providers in Seychelles, Pestea, which offers a wide range of expert products and services to ensure that your residential, hospitality or commercial properties remain pest free, is set to introduce a new anti-termite barrier product.

Kordon in partnership with Hardy Henry services of Mauritius brings Kordon Bayer to our islands through Pestea.

The product is a flexible laminate that is installed in the building during the construction process, to prevent concealed access by subterranean termites.

Kordon contains deltamethrin whichis highly repellent to termites, and designed in a way that is entirely environment friendly and will ensure your investment is protected.

Pestea sales and marketing manager Lynn Gower stated that such products will help the Seychelles building industry and offer added safeguards to termites attacking buildings.

Kordon is a physiochemical barrier aimed to prevent termites from entering the building. The perimeter setup consists of blocking the termite’s pathway by the bricklaying discontinuities, exterior perimeter, slot, pipe, expansions, joints etc. on the field. The effectiveness of such products has been designed and evaluated for more than 50 years,” she said.

Among its many advantages it is harmless to people and is allergy free.

“Certain buildings in Seychelles have already installed kordon. Backed by Bayer of France and extensively tested worldwide it comes with all international labels of guarantees and certificates.

A full guarantee against termites not attacking your investment is proof of the reliability of this product,” she said.

Kordon is made up of a synthetic canvas sandwiched between polyethylene films. The canvas is soaked with termicide namely deltamethrin. The polyethylene films aim at limiting the contacts with the active substance for the applicator and the environment.

Seychelles has many reasons to welcome this product as it has no impact on our environment and as more emphasis is being placed on protecting our heritage the need to support the more sustainable products grow.  Sustainable development is the key speech in all areas and kordon works with nature not against it

If you want more information about kordon, Pestea in association with Koatchimie France & Hardy Henry services of Mauritius will do an official launch through a presentation with kordon experts present at Eden Bleu on May 15, 2017 at 2pm. For reservation call Ms Gower on 2501644 or visit www.pestea.com
