Seychelles and St Vincent sign general cooperation agreement |01 July 2017
Seychelles and St Vincent have signed a general cooperation agreement which is expected to bring greater diplomatic engagement and allow for the two countries to share their diverse experience across an array of fields for the benefit of the people of the two nations.
The agreement was signed yesterday by Ambassador Michelle Murray, the principal secretary in the department of Foreign Affairs, and Cenio Lewis, high commissioner of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The signing took place at the Maison Queau de Quinssy.
Both Ambassador Murray and High Commissioner Lewis agreed on the need to coordinate efforts and find innovative solutions to tackle a changing climate and address the vulnerabilities of small island states in development.
Ambassador Murray also noted that like Seychelles, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has a large maritime space with untapped potential which can be used to further develop the countries.
