Basketball coach Alix Allisop passes away |28 September 2017

Basketball coach Alix Allisop has passed away while on an international mission in Madagascar.

Seychelles NATION has learned that coach Allisop died last night in a military hospital in Madagascar.

The 49-year-old coach was in Madagascar as coach of the Beau Vallon Heat team who, along with Premium Cobras and B Challenge, are competing in the Indian Ocean Club Championship.

Coach Allisop has also worked with Premium Cobras, PLS Hawks, the men’s and women’s national teams in the past.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture as well as the National Sports Council would like to convey their condolences to the family of coach Allisop and the players of the team in Madagascar.
