Freemasons Society donates to Beau Vallon health centre |15 February 2018
The Beau Vallon health centre is now better equipped to serve around 12,000-15,000 people who come at the centre for medical treatment.
This follows a donation of medical equipment from the Freemasons Society.
The equipment comprise medical scale, blood pressure machine, pulse oximeter and a computer printer.
The handover of the donation took place earlier this week at the Beau Vallon health centre in the presence of Freemasons Society members and Beau Vallon clinic staff.
It was Roger Toussaint from the Freemasons Society who handed over the donation to the domiciliary care nurse Joceline Servina.
Mr Toussaint stated that such donation will benefit patients who visit the health centre.
“Such donation will benefit all the patients who come at the centre for medical treatment. Our goal is to help those in need of assistance and helping the Beau Vallon community gives us so much joy and happiness,” he said.
Thanking the Freemasons Society Ms Servina added that with such state of the art equipment the health centre will deliver a more professional service.
“We would like to thank the Freemasons Society for its generosity, which will benefit us and all the patients. We are now better equipped to deliver a more professional service to the community,” she said.
Last year the Freemasons Society handed over Christmas hampers to the health centre.
The Beau Vallon health centre provides maternal healthcare – caring for mothers who have just given birth as well as weighing babies and vaccinating them – and also dental care for children and adults.
It has an accident and emergency service for people who may have had an asthma attack or have serious cuts or other conditions needing a doctor’s immediate attention, among other medical services.
