Arrisol takes on a noble challenge for AfricaDominic Arrisol will be heading to Austria later this year to be among 25 cyclists in the 6th annual Starwood ‘Road to awareness’ bike ride to raise funds for the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef).
Arrisol will be representing the country by taking on a three-day bike ride over the mythical mountains of Tyroll in Austria, along with a team of fellow associates from other Starwood hotels from August 28-31.
The aim is to raise as much money as possible to help very poor and excluded children in Cameroon and Nigeria get a chance to enroll in schools and have the right education.
The Starwood goal for the entire initiative is to raise over US $500,000 and the general public is being encouraged to donate what they can to help towards this noble cause.
The fund raising campaign runs from April to November and donations can be made either by credit card through Dominic’s very own ‘Road to awareness’ web page; http://fundraise.unicef.org.uk/MyPage/Dominic-Arrisol-ROADAWARENESS-BIKERIDE or through cash at the accounts office at the Fisherman’s Cove.
On his website, Arrisol writes: “I’m proud to ride for the ‘Road to awareness’ for a better education for children in Africa.”
